Affordable
The price of healthcare coverage should be affordable for any employer with recurring very high cost drug claims without resulting insurance premium increases rendering the coverage unaffordable.
Transferable
Any employer with re-occurring high cost drug claims in a fully insured health plan should be able to obtain healthcare coverage from any insurer.
Viable
All Canadian insurers offering fully insured plans, regardless of size, should be able to offer healthcare solutions to employers while respecting CDIPC’s principles.
Participative
All eligible insurance company should be able to participate within CDIPC in the same manner as other insurers.
Competitive
Insurers must retain the capability to adapt to the needs of their clients by providing innovative and competitive healthcare insurance solutions while adhering to CDIPC’s principles.
